5 Players To Look Out For In 2017/18

With the start of the football season reaching ever closer clubs will be scouting around the globe for the hottest players to add to their team in order to achieve there goals whatever they may be. With this in mind I thought I would write about 5 players who I think will shine in the 2017/18 season.

5.Lautaro Martinez
The Argentine is a top prospect in his native country for side, Racing Club and has there have been rumours of sides from around Europe keeping an eye on this talents development including Arsenal. The 19-Year-Old mesmerised viewers of the U20 World Cup with his fantastic goalscoring ability when he notched 2 superb goals against Guinea. For his side Martinez had a great year as he bagged himself 5 goals in just 11 starts playing with the likes of Legendary striker, Lisandro Lopez. This young boy will be definitely one to keep an eye on this season wherever he is playing.

4.Allan Saint-Maximin
Many readers will already be familiar of who Allan Saint-Maximin is due to him already playing for a few years in the top flight of both France and Germany. However, this season will most definitely be his best and I believe he will be playing for the national team by the end of 2018 if he can reach his potential. The 20-Year-Old had a great season with relegated Bastia last season and will look to improve on that this season. Like Martinez, Saint-Maximin also featured at the U20 World Cup for France where he scored 2 goals including an absolutely beautiful goal against New Zealand. With the Frenchman back at Monaco it is unclear whether he will be a key part of their side next season but I’m sure if they don’t want him there will be a long list of clubs who will be crying out for his services.

3.Ismaila Sarr
Another player who had a great 2016/17 season, Ismaila Sarr broke onto the scene for Metz as he scored 5 goals and got himself 5 assists. The youngster also enjoyed a call up to his national side of Senegal where he has already got 1 goal and that just shows how much talent Ismaila Sarr really has. Sarr is a product from the Generation Foot academy in Senegal which has seen fellow national teammate Sadio Mane break through there. The winger is explosive and unpredictable in the way he plays and I have no doubt that the 19-Year-Old will only get better and by the end of the season will be wanted by many of Europe’s elite.

2.Adama Niane
Adama Niane was a key figure for Troyes in their promotion back to Ligue 1 after a relegation play-off win against Lorient. The 24-Year-Old had a return of 23 goals in just 27 league starts which is a sensational return for Malian born player. He also made an appearance for his national side of Mali in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Gabon but unfortunately we did not see him at the tournament due to fellow Countryman, Moussa Marega being in such hot form also. With Troyes returning to Ligue 1 next season the side will be relying on Niane to continue his great goal scoring run in order to keep them in the top flight and I strongly believe he can help them do just that.

1.Luther Singh
Luther Singh is a player who I have been a fan of for such a long time but unfortunately has not been getting much of the attention he deserves which is sad as he has such fantastic talent. He currently, plys his trade for Braga in the top flight of Portugal but before that he was playing for GAIS in Sweden where showed people what he can do. Similarly to Adama Niane, Singh has made just 1 appearance for his national side of South Africa after coming off the bench against Angola. We also saw a glimpse of what he could do at the U20 World Cup but unfortunately he wasn’t able to score for his side. Sadly Singh has yet to make an appearance for Braga’s first team but that will most definitely change this season as the 19-Year-Old South African is just so talented and has the ability to go very far in the game.
