5.Luther Singh

Luther Singh is arguably the biggest South African talent currently and rightly so. The 19 Year old Braga player has been scoring for fun at the AFCON U20’s Tournament. He is currently the competitions top goalscorer with 4 key goals that lead South Africa to the Semi Final but were unfortunately knocked out in Extra time to the hosts Zambia from a late Edward Chilufya header. Luther’s form did not go unrecognised and he has now been called up to represent the South Africa Senior team for their next international friendlies. the former GAIS striker is a player who posses a great amount of pace and is a fantastic finisher. If he can keep up the form he is in now then there is no reason why he will not reach the very heights of European football.

4.Stephen Odey

Stephen Odey is a player who i am a huge fan of as shown by my vast number of tweets about him on my Twitter page. The 19 Year Old Nigerian talent for the side MFM FC who are flying high in the NPFL has been in scintillating form scoring 8 goals and is currently the leagues top scorer. Odey has been gaining interest from sides all over Europe including Valencia who appear to be the most notable side to be chasing the talented Nigerian’s signature. Odey is a player who, like Luther Singh, has vast amounts of pace and is a lethal finisher with great attacking awareness. The forward has been most likened to Manchester United Forward Anthony Martial, as stated in my previous article. With the new partnership between the LMCNPFL and the La Liga it is now more easier for top flight Spanish sides to sign Nigerian talents without the trouble of work permit issues. So with this in mind i see no reason why Stephen Odey wont get his big move and when he does he will make the most of it and will become a top player in future years.

The 18 Year old Zambian talent was given an opportunity to showcase his talent in Europe as he signed for Austrian side FC Liefering on Loan. Victor Osimhen was another key player in Nigeria’s U17 World cup success as his 10 goals saw the Super Eagles win their 5 U17 World cup title. Of course this fantastic return did not go unnoticed and many big clubs throughout Europe tried to get the 18 years old signature, but it was German side Wolfsburg who signed the top young talent. Oghenekaro Etebo is a young Nigerian talent who has many clubs battling it out to sign him, and rightly so. The winner of the CAF Most Promising Talent Of The Year is taking the football world by storm with his fantastic ability. The box to box midfielder is an Engine in midfield who some would say has a third lung. The 21 year old has been likened to Chelsea star N’Golo Kante and you can see why as they both share very similar traits. The Nigerian International turned heads when he represented Nigeria at the Rio Olympics when he scored 4 goals for the Super Eagles. With his ability Etebo has endless potential and is a player i can see playing in one of the top 5 European leagues very soon.
