5 League Two Players Who Should Be Playing At A Higher Level

5. John Akinde

John Akinde is a player who has already had a big Football League move in 2008 to Championship side Bristol City where he had a tough time where he played 16 games for them but only started in 1 of them games and he only managed 1 goal in his time then moved onto other clubs where he failed to score goals and had most of his game time from coming off the bench. But the 26 year old is back in the football league after he helped his side Barnet win the Conference scoring 31 goals and getting 7 assists in 45 games which is a phenomenal record. Since Akinde has been back in the football league he has proved his doubters wrong and has managed to score 10 goals and get 7 assists in League 2. He even put in a stellar performance in the capital one cup against League 1 side Millwall where he scored 1 and got 1 assist and there is no reason why Big John cannot make the step up to the higher leagues of English Football he is a great goalscorer and has a great presence up front. If he isn’t scoring he is providing for his team mates.image

4. Kemar Roofe

Kemar Roofe is a player i have admired since he has joined League 2 side Oxford United from West Brom in 2015. He is a great Dribbler, Crosser and Finisher everything you want in a winger and more he is that good. He has put in some performances for Oxford this season racking up a total of 18 goals and 5 assists in all competitions and not to mention his fantastic performance against Swansea. There is no doubt that Kemar Roofe has deserved a move to a bigger club and that is why he has been linked to numerous Championship Clubs such as QPR. But with performances that he puts in week in week out West Brom must be kicking themselves that they have let such a good player league so early in his career.image

3. Curtis Nelson

Curtis Nelson would be a great acquisition for any bigger club that is need of a good young Centre Back. The 22 year old has played over 200 games for League 2 side Plymouth Argyle and has even got the Captains Armband and for someone who is 22 that is fantastic and it amazes me that he is not playing in a bigger league he would be a cheap but great option that would have so much fight, hunger and desire that he would put in some solid performances. Also even for his position the Former England U18 player has got 1 goal and 1 assist this season for Plymouth.image

2. Jay Simpson

This season Jay Simpson has not been shy for goals for Leyton Orient to say the least he has managed to score 22 goals in 29 games which is a sensational record. Jay Simpson has already played in the higher divisions in England. He has had a spell on loan at QPR where he managed to score 12 goals and he also played for Hull City where he managed to score 12 goals again. The 27 year old would provide goals and Experience for any League 1 or Championship club and would be a very cheap option aswell but a good option in that perspective aswell.image

1. Jodi Jones

The 17 year old has made a big name for himself with league 2 side Dagenham and Redbridge. In the Daggers Preseason game against Crystal Palace he had 47 scouts come to watch him play. He is a very skill full winger and it is difficult to tell what he is going to do next. This season for Dagenham he has managed to score 3 goals but 1 of them was a beautiful effort into the top corner. Jodi has been wanted by many Premier League and Championship clubs including: West Ham, Brighton and Charlton. And i am sure in the future we will see Jodi Playing Regularly in the Premier League the lad is that talented.image
